Windham Mountain is a hub for all things winter sports, and it consequently attracts thousands of international travelers each winter. When the last of its snow melts, however, visitors still return for its fantastic family-friendly activities.
Windham Mountain offers ski lessons for everyone in your family, from your toddler to your grandpa. The Children’s Learning Center provides lesson options for all children ages 12 and under. Children between the ages of 4 and 7 are eligible for the Mini Moguls classes, and children between the ages of 8 and 12 utilize lessons through the Mountain Master Skiers and Riders Program. For those who are age 50 and up, Windham Mountain has a program that focuses on improving your skiing skills and enjoyment. Mom and dad can enroll in adult classes as well.
Children ages 2 to 7 hang out at The Children’s Learning Center, where they enjoy indoor games, crafts and more. A half-day (from 8 a.m. to noon or 12:30 to 4:30 p.m.) costs $70, while a full day costs $115.
Eight trails, five lifts and three parks are open at night, when skiers and boarders can enjoy a unique experience on the slopes. Altogether, Windham Mountain provides 269 skiable acres, with five terrain parks and 10 lifts.
In 2012, Windham Mountain began an expansion of terrain for low-level skiers and riders, as well as a redevelopment of the resort’sbase area. The project will be accomplished over the next few years.
