For a less crowded hiking experience than the trails around Bear Lake, head to Wild Basin, a beautiful area with several trails and scenic lakes and waterfalls. It’s great for families who want a quieter walk (and less competitive parking). Most of the trails are suitable for any age, but be sure to ask rangers for their best picks to accommodate strollers, spot wildlife or intrigue budding naturalists.
