Whiteface Mountain offers the highest peaks in the Northeast, with a summit at 4,867 feet, as well as the Olympic experience, home to the1980 slope events at the Lake Placid Winter Games. Kids can learn to ski at the Kids Kampus, with both carpet and Bunny slopes. Experienced skiers will love the 3,430-foot vertical drop, which is the highest in the East. A 2.1-mile cruiser trail and 86 other trails are available on 288 skiable acres, serviced by 10 lifts. A nursery, children’s ski programs, teen experiences, Burton Riglet Park and class and private lessons are available.
