White Cedar Swamp is a historic site where visitors can come see some of the most beautiful scenery in Wellfleet. The boardwalk trail that winds through the stunning swampland provides visitors with a relatively carefree, relaxed walk through the area. While the boardwalk does break into dirt road at times, this site is easily traversable by people in any age group.
After you finish your stroll through the swamp, take a walk across the parking lot and check out the site where on Jan. 18, 1903, Guglielmo Marconi sent the first transatlantic radio transmission to the United Kingdom.
