Operating boat tours along the Chicago since 1935, Wendella is one of the oldest and most respected tours in the city. The Chicago River Architecture Tour, which lasts 75 minutes, begins at Trump Tower and travels along the three branches of the river with a guide highlighting Chicago’s rich architectural history. The Combined Lake and River Tour, the signature tour that is 90 minutes, begins at the Wendella’s Dock at the Wrigley Building and travels along the river and along the coastline of Lake Michigan. Sunset cruises, fireworks cruises and a shorter 45-minute River Experience cruise are also available. Passengers will see and learn about the Wrigley Building, the Centennial Fountain, the Civic Opera Building, the Willis Tower (formerly the Sears Tower) and Buckingham Fountain, among others. The tours offer indoor and outdoor seating and a cash bar, and travels daily between late April and end of November. Children under 3 are free and children under 11 are discounted.
