Along your Road to Hana venture, this state park is a superb, awe-inspiringly beautiful place to stop, with its small black sand beach (sure to excite the kids if they’ve never seen one), lava tube, caves, blow hole, rocks that beg to be climbed, and more. It’s a great place to picnic, or, if possible, spend some time hiking its trails or even consider camping out.
