On 2,000 acres between La Jolla and Del Mar, Torrey Pines State Reserve is home to one of the rarest pine trees in the world and droves of scenic beauty. Pristine beaches and a lagoon teeming with seabirds are among the park’s attractions; take a hike to explore them (many of the hiking trails are relatively easy). No camping here, and picnics are allowed on the beach only.
