With more than 5,000 animals, six indoor pavilions and daily zoo keeper talks, the Toronto Zoo is a must-see attraction for families visiting Ontario, Canada. Animals include turtles, owls, sloths, lions, rhinoceros, alpacas and more. There are also 6 miles of walking trails, a Discovery Zone (with interactive displays) and 2-acre water place area and a Waterside Theatre. For more fun, hop on one of the five rides and ropes courses.
The zoo is open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily in the summer, and 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. fall through spring.
