For a top-notch lobster, boat tour experience AND a delicious dinner, this boat charter is the real deal and provides an authentic Prince Edward Island experience. Owned and operated by Captain Mark Jenkins and his brother Cody, this boat tour gives visitors a glimpse into the lobster and fishing industry on Prince Edward Island.
Hop aboard the 45-foot Top Notch, which is an actual lobster fishing boat used by Jenkins to fish during lobster season, and listen to Jenkins’ stories of big catches, lobster conservation and the life cycle of a lobster. Did you know a lobster sheds its shell numerous times throughout its lifetime?
Take a turn at driving the boat, catch a buoy to haul up a crab or lobster trap and band a lobster claw. This fourth-generation lobster fishing family has the lobster knowledge and experience to share with visitors, but also entertains with fun and unbelievable tales from the sea. The two-hour tour ends with a delicious lobster dinner for guests to enjoy at picnic tables right on the boat. A plastic cover atop the boat also protects visitors from any weather elements, but still allows great views of the PEI coastline. Remember it can always be a few degrees cooler on the water, so dress accordingly.
Giant Bluefin Tuna Charters are also available aboard the Top Notch. Strap into the chair, hook into the rod and enjoy this catch and release, sport fishing experience. Tuna charters are $1,250 for the boat and six people maximum. Call to schedule.
