The best place to experience the highest tides in the world is Tidal Bore Rafting Park in Nova Scotia’s Annapolis Valley. You’ll take a calm, guided boat tour out into the Bay of Fundy to learn about the area and spot wildlife… before crashing up against 25-foot (plus) waves in an exhilarating experience your family won’t soon forget.
Reservations are a must, and you’ll need to arrive at least an hour ahead of your scheduled tour to check in and get instructions from your guide. Wear old or dark clothing and bring a fresh pair of clothes to change into following the tour.
Tidal Bore Rafting Park is located at Tidal Bore Rafting Resort, where families can stay in cottages — a good idea for the night before your tour, since boat tours depart early in the morning.
Rafting Rates
Tours, which last two hours, start at $60 for adults and $54 for children under age 12, increasing in price for rides at high tide or “extreme tides.
