This peaceful religious site speaks to the multicultural influences on Trinidad. An East Indian man, homesick for his homeland, built a Hindu temple in the sea. The original temple is long gone, but the government has rebuilt it in a park-like setting. Colorful prayer flags, incense burners and other artifacts showcase this active place of worship on the island that is open to visitors as well.
