The State Museum of Pennsylvania–appropriately located in the state capitol of Harrisburg–features artifacts and exhibits that are unique to the Keystone State. Permanent exhibits include Village Square, a replica of a 19th century town in Pennsylvania; Mammal Hall, showcasing the state’s native wildlife; and Transportation & Industry. Rotating exhibits and special events add to the fun for families.
Hours
It’s open 9 to 5, Wednesday through Saturday, and noon to 5 on Sunday. It is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Admission
Adults are $7, seniors are $6 and kids age 1 to 11 are $5 to get in.
