This outdoor garden and nature center is a nice way for kids and adults to get outside and smell the roses (and numerous other flowers) — but it also offers more! Families can stroll inside several greenhouse areas, visit with the turtles and other reptiles and many birds, take a walk along the boardwalk trail and have a blast inside an authentic tree house. Kids will love the Monkey Mansion Treehouse, which looks like it is straight out of a storybook and sits on top of a 400-year-old tree trunk.
Stop inside the butterfly house to get up close to the colorful creatures. Sit quietly to watch the hummingbirds feed or check out the Sensory Garden, which features sculptures alongside plant life and pretty flowers. Plus, there are always events, such as Parrot Talk, where families can interact directly with the parrots and trainers.
