Warm up at Ramshead, a popular slope for families with an assortment of greens and blues. A nice little cruiser is Swirl on the outermost edge of Killington. Then head over to Skye Peak, which features a tantalizing mix of runs for all levels, sweeping through the dense forest before ending at the base of Bear Mountain. Gateway and Bear Claw are nice little jaunts. There’s also Stash, a half-mile trail created by Jake Burton for freestyle enthusiasts. Stand at the bottom of Bear Mountain to watch the expert skiers tackle the bumps of Outer Limits. Pico has lots of fairly easy and interesting cruisers, peaking in difficulty with Pike and 49er. Killington features a full day of instruction for children ages 4 and up. Two and 3 year olds also have a chance to ski in morning outdoor sessions. There are day care facilities for children as young as 12 weeks to 6 years of age.
