Cool off from the Georgia heat at Six Flags White Water, a water park with thrill rides, family rides and fun for little kids just outside of Atlanta. Lazy rivers, wave pools, splash zones, tube rides, activity pools and fast-moving scream-inducing waterslides are all available. Recently, the park added the 60-foot-tall “Wahoo Racer” slide, where riders race at speeds of up to 40 feet per second. The water park is affiliated with Six Flags Over Georgia, a theme park just a few minutes away, though separate admission is required for both parks.

The park is open seasonally from mid-May through mid-September, with limited weekend days in May, August and September. Special events and concerts are offered during the season.
