With 80,000 fresh tulip buds planted every season, visitors to Sherwood Gardens will enjoy some of the most beautiful scenery in the country. But more than just a tulip garden, the Guilford Association accentuates the gardens’ beauty by planting several other types of spring flowers, including wisteria, magnolias, dogwoods and more. Sprinkled throughout the grounds, visitors will also notice a variety of beautiful and rare trees. With the best time to visit being mid April through early May, Sherwood Gardens is the perfect destination for families looking to relax for a few hours on a beautiful spring day. The gardens are free to the public to enjoy at their leisure, and reservations are not necessary.
