Pre-school and elementary-age children will grin from ear to ear as they ride, climb, splash and play in this colorful four-acre kid haven. Among the highlights: Sea Carousel — a classic merry-go-round with a sea character twist, Swishy Fishies and Jazzie Jellies — two twist and turn rides whose sweet names match up to their tame demeanor, and Shamu Express — a gentle mini roller-coaster ride which offers younger guests 38″ and up the thrill of manageable turns and mild drops.

On the non-ride side, kids can cool off at Water Works — a splash zone, and (parent alert!) lose themselves in Net Climb — four stories of cargo nets, slides and winding tunnels. Underneath, there’s a sand play area designed specifically for younger children. Be sure to visit with Shamu if he’s swimming around. A park employee will happily use your own camera and take a photo of you. Minimum height to experience the rides solo ranges from 36″ to 48″. Those who don’t make the cut must be accompanied by a supervising companion ages 14 or over. Bring swimsuits and a towel for the kids.
