This facility, part of University of California, Santa Cruz, is a working marine lab, focused on research and education. It’s a small attraction, which can be great for the younger kids, who will still find plenty to stimulate their interest. They can pet little sharks and more in touch tanks, see a whale skeleton, and meet Monterey Bay sea creatures from dolphins to sea anemones. Awesome views can be had from the trails just outside the facility.
