Sky tours through Sedona Star Gazing are not only beautiful, but educational. Blankets and chairs are provided on the observing site (a grass soccer field), and your group will be able to view celestial objects up close through a powerful telescope as the knowledgeable astronomers explain what you’re seeing. If you want to see the galaxy, try to choose a time of the month without a moon, as its light will obscure the Milky Way. Families with younger children can book the 8 p.m. time, while those 12 and up can opt for the darker late tour at 10; in both cases, the experience lasts about an hour and a half. Availability is limited, so be sure to book ahead of time!
