The Segwick County Zoo invites visitors to come and see more than 3,000 animals of more than 400 different species. The zoo is divided into “continents” and also includes the “Tropics,” “Amphibians and Reptiles,” and the “Children’s Farms.” You can see gorillas, giraffes, tigers, flamingos and more as you explore the zoo.
The zoo recently opened its new “Elephants of the Zambezi River Valley” habitat, where you have many viewing platforms to see these animals. The zoo does offer giraffe feeding ($2 per person) and boat rides ($3 per person). In addition, guests can enjoy a free tram tour through the property, and you may hop on and hop off at any of the five designated stops. There are several dining options at the zoo, or you may bring your own picnic cooler.
