The Space Coast is a nesting area for sea turtles and this society works tirelessly to help keep these dinosaurs of the sea alive and well. Volunteers provide hands-on programming to introduce visitors to the life of sea turtles, hosting turtle walks, beach cleanups and educational programs. Sea turtle nesting season peaks in June and July and visitors can join public night walks. The society works to save injured turtles and release them back into the ocean, and some guests can watch as turtles are brought back to the ocean for re-release.
