If the kids are getting tired of hunting for seashells, visit Sea Glass Beach for an all-new experience. Sea glass, which originates from manmade waste of bottles, glasses, items from shipwrecks, etc., is smoothed, rounded, and reformed by nature in the ocean. The surface often takes on a cloudy appearance, and the bright colors make the pieces look like gemstones. That’s what makes this beach so stunning: there aren’t many places where sea glass is this plentiful, and you’ll enjoy competing to find the most unique pieces. (However, removing the glass from the beach is illegal, so make sure the kids put it back for others to enjoy.) And don’t go swimming here, as there are rocks with sharp edges in the shallow water.
