There is so much to do and touch at this science center that families could spend all day exploring the more than 130 hands-on exhibits. Located in what was once the city’s power and water building, today families can check out the weather center, watch a demonstration on the human body, watch the earth rotate on the Science on a Sphere globe or climb and play in the Kids Central area that offers water play, climbing robes and slides for the younger kids ages 2 to 7.
Hours
Hours vary, but the school year hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday. It’s closed on Monday and Tuesday.

$9; children under 2 are free.
