The Sandusky Maritime Museum offers families a look into the history of the town’s involvement in the boating history over the years. Enjoy learning through the various exhibits, which include Area Shipwrecks, Wetlands, Lyman: Legends of the Lakes, Success: The Convict Ship, Harvesting the Sandusky Bay and Pirates of Lake Erie. The museum also hosts monthly programs and events for families. A gift shop is onsite and sells souvenirs and artifacts for kids to take home, too.
The Sandusky Maritime Museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for senior citizens and children ages 11 and under. One family (immediate household members) can get in for a flat rate of $13.
