An intimate art museum in downtown San Jose, the San Jose Museum of Art specializes in unique and often local exhibitions, such as the Life and Labor photographic exhibit about steel workers, miners and the working class. The museum is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day but Tuesday, with an 8 p.m. closing time on the third Thursday of the month. Kids Art Camp is offered during spring breaks, and the museum hosts many school excursions.
