Nicknamed “the Nat,” San Diego’s Natural History Museum is one of the many museums featured in Balboa Park. The museum showcases interactive exhibits to educate families on the natural history of Southern California and the Baja Peninsula, as well as from around the world, such as its Discovery of King Tut exhibit and Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition. During the school year, the museum offers a special, free Family Day. On Sundays, kids can learn more about science with special performances by the renowned Ms. Frizzle. After exploring the museum, have a seat in the Dinosaur Cafe for salads, wraps and Paninis. The museum is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
