One of the many museums that make up Balboa Park, the San Diego Air & Space Museum tells the story of air travel, going as far back as the late 1700s. The museum us filled with artifacts and exhibits highlighting all methods of air travel. It’s also home to the Gillespie Field Annex, where the museum restores and reproduces aircraft. Flight simulators enable visitors to sample flights throughout the museum. The museum operates from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily.
