If your family is looking to learn more about the surrounding area’s wildlife and its natural habitat, then a visit to the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation is a must. The primary goal of this foundation is to keep the wildlife population under control and ensure they’re hunted in an ethically responsible way. To achieve that goal, only a certain number of hunting tags are awarded to people each year.
The center features a plethora of stuffed bison, elk, and deer, as well as porcupines, squirrels, and mountain lions. Families can embark on guided tours, led by various members of the foundation, or simply browse around themselves.
