As the historic heart of downtown Santa Rosa, this shopping and restaurant area is called “Old Town.” The first trains arrived in Railroad Square in the 1870s and passenger trains continue to be used today, welcoming visitors from as far south as San Rafael. Families can stroll the historically preserved streets and visit the shops, antique shops, restaurants, ice cream shop, dance studio, fitness centers, performing arts theater, farmers market and much more.
Be on the lookout for some Charlie Brown artwork and sculptures, too. They are placed throughout Santa Rosa and the Railroad Square Historic District.
