This nearly 50-acre park is named after a lumberman named Peter Prince. Prince founded a lumber mill and dug a channel, which resulted in an island, to get logs closer to the Calgary sawmill. Today, families can enjoy the park in the summer and winter seasons.
There are hiking trails, flower gardens, a playground and cross-country skiing and outdoor skating takes place on the lagoon in the winter months. A restaurant, picnic areas and restrooms can also be found in the park. Festivals and events often take place here, as well.
