At the site where the pilgrims created a plantation after sailing across the Atlantic Ocean from England aboard the Mayflower, Plimoth Plantation is now a living history museum. Kids can get an example of what life was like for the pilgrims and the Native Americans in the 17th Century and explore the Mayflower II, an exact replica of the original ship. Thanksgiving is a popular time to visit, and the plantation hosts a traditional Thanksgiving Day meal that is reminiscent of the first Thanksgiving.
