Playland was America’s first planned amusement park and remains a fun place for families to visit in Westchester County. The park features historic amusement rides, a boardwalk, pier and beach, swimming pool, picnic areas, mini-golf, lake boating, fireworks and more. Pedal boats and a lake cruise are offered from May through Labor Day. Kiddyland offers rides for little ones, while older kids can enjoy rides like the Gondola Wheel and the Family Flyer. Thrill rides may be best for teens and include the likes of the Derby Racer rollercoaster and the Double Shot vertical rocket ride. Admission is $30 for adults who plan to ride the amusement rides, $10 for spectators, $20 for children under 48 inches and free for children ages 2 and under. Discounts are offered for groups and county residents.
