Michigan’s beaches, especially on the West coast, are legendary for their rolling dunes and stellar sunsets. Petoskey State Park, located on the north end of Little Traverse Bay, is the ideal spot for a family beach day, with clean bathrooms, picnic tables, good parking, and a bountiful sandy beach on the bay. There are also several little hiking trails, and families can hunt for the famous Petoskey stone as they stroll the beach.
