While Sugarloaf’s daunting vertical drop might not seem like the best place for beginning skiers to learn the ropes, it’s actually a welcoming mountain to kids due to its Perfect Turn ski school, which introduces kids as young as 3 years old with a unique program using games and other activities that make learning fun. The ski school offers half- and full-day programs that include lunch and lift passes. The outdoor center features a kids’ club with skiing games, scavenger hunts and other activities every Saturday afternoon, and Saturday night is “Kids Night Out” for kids ages 4 to 10, where they’re treated to pizza, games, and movies, while mom and dad get a chance to explore the valley’s nightlife.
