When prospectors first discovered silver in the area in 1868, a rush was made and Park City began. At this museum, visitors can learn more about the silver rush, the prospectors who mined the hills, and the early settlers to the area . Kids can learn about mining in the basement, and explore the original jail in the basement of the historic City Hall. The museum is open Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday, 12 to 6 p.m.
