This 22-acre zoo is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and offers kids a chance to get close to sloths, black bears, giant tortoises and capybaras with special events, as well as traditional zoo experiences and exhibits. Bring a bathing suit for the kids, who will certainly want to splash in the interactive fountain. In the summer months, certain Fridays host special Safari Nights, from 5:30 to 9 p.m., with special kids’ crafts and arts and entertainment.
Admission is $19 for adults and $13 for kids 3 to 12. Children 2 and under are free.
