The beloved home of Mary Queen of Scots is now the Queen of England’s home when she’s in Scotland (Scotland is part of her rule). Located at the start of the Royal Mile, portions of the castle are open for touring, including the Royal Apartments featuring Queen Mary’s bedroom and the Great Gallery featuring portraits of the kings of Scotland.
