When you need a break from the beach or some rainy day fun, head to the free National Aviation Museum, where more than 4,000 artifacts and 150 aircraft are on display from the Navy, Marines and Coast Guard Aviation. Flight simulators and IMAX films give guests a chance to experience military flight without leaving the ground. Closed on Mondays. Open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends. The museum provides free admission, parking and guided tours led by retired military volunteers. A free 20-minute trolley tour is also available of the 50 aircraft on display behind the Restoration hangar. IMAX films are shown daily, and the Cubi Bar Café provides sandwiches, salads, soups and desserts daily. The museum is located on the Pensacola Naval Air Station.
