This museum and aquarium offer both historical and live collections to showcase life surrounding the Mississippi River. Children will see otters, beavers, alligators and other wildlife that live in the river. Historic sites include the Mathias Ham House, the former home of Iowa’s richest man, and the Old Jail Museum. Guided tours are available daily, and the museum’s 4D theater showcases 4D and 3D movies, both educational and fun.
