The National Aviary is home to some of the world’s most amazing birds, many of which are endangered species. You’ll learn about more than 600 birds from more than 200 species, including thumb-sized hummingbirds, Andean Condors, owls, flamingos, African penguins and more. This bird zoo is more than 50 years old and considered one of the nation’s premier bird parks. The National Aviary offers a variety of special family programs and adult workshops like Photo Safaris and penguin painting. Kids under 2 enjoy free admission to the Aviary. Open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
