The most important historical documents of the United States are held in the National Archives building, located on the National Mall. The original Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights, Constitution and the 1297 version of the Magna Carta are all housed here. Families can also trace their own family roots among the documents and microfilm at the National Archives.
