Located at the foot of the Space Needle, the Museum of Pop Culture (formerly Experience Music Project) is housed in a Frank Gehry building that’s said to have been designed to replicate the look of an inner ear.
Exhibits at MoPop focus on Seattle’s pop culture scene, including science-fiction, sports and of course, music. Exhibits focus on the life of Jim Henson, Jimi Hendrix, David Bowie and more. Kids will especially love the Sound Lab, where they can pick up an assortment of instruments to play — and even record their own music!

The Museum of Pop Culture is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
