Home of the annual Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire, the Mount Hope Estate hosts a number of special events throughout the year. Ren Faire, the most popular, takes place August through October. In June, the annual Celtic Fling & Highland Games takes place with traditional bagpipe bands, Celtic bands, Celtic cuisine, and more. Inside the Mount Hope Mansion, more special events include November’s annual Poe Evermore, a collection of Edgar Allan Poe’s works with lunch or dinner included. A Dickens of a Christmas takes place in December, offering more lunch and dinner shows, this time centered on games, songs, and traditions from Dickens’ era. A number of other events take place, but visitors also stop at the winery for wine tastings and tours.
