Every year, thousands of visitors visit “Hitsville U.S.A.,” where musical legends were made with the help of Motown Records. Before your visit, introduce the kids to the music of Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, the Funk Brothers, Jackson 5, and other Motown favorites, so they’ll recognize some names during the tour. The guides are energetic and love telling fun stories about the singers, and there are some fun exhibits like the old printing press and train exhibit. Still, it’s probably a better trip for kids slightly on the older side, as younger ones will get bored more quickly.
