Many people are content with walking into the mouth of this canyon, just far enough to reach the first narrow section with its beautiful polished, contoured rocks. However, feel free to hike further if the family’s up for it: you’ll escape the crowds, see plenty of beautiful and varied rock formations and scenery, and climb over rocks and boulders. Kids love exploring the nooks and crannies and admiring the sparkly “mosaic” rock fragments embedded in the walls.
