Montauk is located at the tip of the island and offers beaches, shops, restaurants, mini-golf, museums and more. There are beachfront motels that are perfect for families (our favorite is Hartman’s Briney Breezes Motel) and quiet beaches that are free. Walk along the main street and stop along the way to pick up souvenirs for friends and family. Make the drive to the Montauk Point Lighthouse and its state park area for a day of history and sightseeing — the views are breathtaking.
