You can’t go to Lake Placid, New York, and not visit Mirror Lake. Go for a stroll around the lake, stop for a picnic lunch and, in the summer months, rent canoes and kayaks to enjoy on the water. (Motorized water equipment is prohibited). You can also go for a swim.
Mirror Lake is surrounded by lush foliage (it’s especially pretty in the fall) and gorgeous homes, and is aptly named because it mirrors its surroundings when the light is just right. Don’t forget the camera for this one!
