The banks of the Hudson River are home to a children’s museum. The museum provides hands-on exhibits and programs introducing kids to the Hudson River heritage, as well as science, arts and technology. Exhibits include WonderDome, Early Junction Learning, Imagination Playground, RiverTown, and more. The Hyde Park Mastadon is a full replica of a 12-foot mastodon that lived during the Ice Age. The museum is open Tuesday through Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $8 per person, for adults and children. Infants 12 months and under are free to enter. Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day.
