Families give the Mayborn Museum high marks for being one of the best kid-friendly museums in the central Texas region.
Located on the Baylor University campus, the museum is organized into five main sections: Natural and Cultural History Exhibits; the Historical Village; special exhibits; a Design Den; and the Jeanes Discovery Center, which has over a dozen hands-on areas designed for kids of all ages and interests, from tea parties to a walk-on piano to a weather reporting station.
A special Play Waco area for kids 5 and under gives them a chance to climb on a school bus or pretend to go grocery shopping.
