The Eastern Shore in Maryland (not to be confused with the Eastern Shore in Virginia) encompasses several notable towns, such as Ocean City, where you’ll find family-friendly (and very popular) beaches, hotels, and restaurants; Salisbury, where you can visit the Salisbury Zoo; and Assateague Island National Seashore, famous for wild ponies that gracefully roam the area.
The Maryland Eastern Shore also covers Chesapeake City, Rock Hall, Chestertown, Kent Island, Easton, St. Michaels, Tilghman Island, Oxford and Cambridge, all of which offer their own charm for families.
